Signing up to become an Adoption Champion offers different activities that will help spread the word. There are a number of ways in which you can help. Here is some information to help you choose a level to get started!
Level 1
You could start by putting up a poster full of information (you can download this from our site), make a donation, or write a letter to your local new paper in order for the word to go viral. You are now apart of the Adoption Champion community.
Level 2
This level is a little more advanced. It includes all the above and more! You can use social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter to let people know it's National Adoption Week. Or why not initiate your own blog and start blogging! Another way to get involved is by becoming a media volunteer - help raise awareness by sharing your personal experience through the media. Hearing your story might encourage someone to take that important first step! Or if you are looking for a really challenge, how about doing some fundraising? This could be anything from having a bake sale to doing a sponsored sky dive!
Level 3
At this stage you could organise a ‘Lets Talk Adoption’ event, or maybe you could be a speaker at someone else’s event. These activities really help enlighten people about adoption. By hearing your views, experiences and challenges which have been over come can really inspire potential adopters. We have prepared a free tool kit to help you organise an event which we will send you. Lastly, if you are really keen and have the time and resources, why not organise your very own charity fundraising event – our fund raising team would be happy to give you an y tips or advice you need.
